• Dr. Punyasloke Bhadury has been elected as the President of Biogeosciences Section of Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) for the term 2018-2020. Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) promotes geosciences and its application for the benefit of humanity, specifically in Asia and Oceania, with an overarching approach to global issues. More than 4000 geoscientists from Asia and other parts of the world are members of AOGS

• CAFM starts funding two summer students every year starting 2019. The students will be selected by a committee through special selection criteria. The selection will be done out of the applications made to the CAFM associated faculty supervisors. The Fellowship of the CAFM funded summer students is of Rs. 14,000.00 for two months.
